The analysis panel

Lumen Tool Studio has an analysis panel in the viewport. Open it with the Analysis switch. These readings are there to help you read a setup faster. They are estimates from the setup itself, not measurements of a real scene, and the tool is not a light meter.

The panel only counts the lights that are actually lighting the scene.

• Key:Fill ratio shows how much stronger the key lands than the fill, taking brightness and distance together, the same way the 3D view lights the face
• Pattern is a best guess at the lighting style, from the lights that are on and the direction you are viewing from
• Colour difference shows the Kelvin gap between the active lights, and says so when gels are mixing colours as well
• Stops show how far each light sits below full power: 100% is the reference at 0.0, half power is one stop down
• Falloff shows what moving the key in or out does, compared with the middle of the distance scale
• Contrast is a rough read of the mood, estimated from the relative key/fill balance and how soft the key is

Distance and height are the tool’s own relative scales. There are no metres, no feet and no exposure readings anywhere in the panel.
