Choosing a picture

Drag a photo onto the page, or click the box and pick one from your computer. JPG, PNG and WebP all work.

Where the picture goes

The picture is analysed in your browser and is not uploaded just by using Reference Lab. When you save a new item to the Archive with that portrait open beside the Simulator, the portrait is uploaded and saved with the item.

What works best

• One face, clearly visible, head and shoulders or closer
• The largest version of the photo you have: the tool reads the reflections in the eyes, and in a small picture the eyes are too small for that
• A face that is not hidden by hands, hair or sunglasses

Another portrait

Click Upload new picture, or drop a new photo onto the old one. The old reading goes away and the new one takes its place.
