Saving, sharing and opening work

Studio 04 · The Archive keeps your work with your Lumen Tool account, so you can open it again on any device where you are signed in. Every studio also remembers your latest changes in the browser, but only an Archive save is kept safely.

What you can save

Photo Lighting saves a setup or a comparison of Saved Setups. Artist Lighting saves its current lighting setup. Color Lab saves the full scene with its looks. Set Builder saves the whole set: room, objects, lights, poses and camera. Hand Reference saves the complete study: pose, camera, light and display.

An Archive item can include previews, a note, a collection and a reference photo, but only when you deliberately include that photo. Analyzing a portrait in Reference Lab never uploads it by itself.

Opening saved work

Open an item in The Archive and choose Open in Simulator, or the matching button for its studio, to carry on editing. To find items quickly, see finding and organizing.

Project files, exports and share links

These are separate from The Archive. Saving one never saves the other.

A project file is a Photo Lighting download to your own computer. It holds several Saved Setups and restores them when you open the file again.

Export downloads a picture or setup information from a studio, for example for a mood board or a client.

The Share button sends people a link to the Lumen Tool website. It does not carry your setup, so to keep a setup, save it to The Archive or a project file.
