Lighting presets
Presets
Presets are starting points for common portrait lighting styles, not finished looks. Every preset sets all four lights at once, so nothing is left over from the setup you had before. After choosing one you can still adjust every light by hand.
How a pattern actually lands depends on the face. A preset gives you the usual position for that style; the triangle, loop or butterfly shadow it is named after is what it is designed to produce, not a promise for every face.
In both modes
- Rembrandt
- Butterfly
- Split
- Loop
Lumen Tool Studio only
- Rim Light
- 3-Point
- Broad
- Short
Rim Light and 3-Point need the back light, and the back light only lights the scene in Lumen Tool Studio, so those two live there. Broad and Short depend on which side of the face is turned toward you, so turn the view to one side to see the difference.
