The lighting workspace

Photo Lighting and Artist Lighting share the same 3D lighting workspace. Only the tools around it differ, so what you learn here works in both.

3D view

Drag to rotate around the head and scroll to zoom. Flip mirrors the viewing direction. The head selector switches between the Lumen Tool heads, and some heads can switch between a Neutral Sculpt and a Realistic surface.

Lights

Both studios have a Key, Fill, Back and Hair light, each with its own light controls. Start from a preset for a quick arrangement, then adjust the lights one by one.
