Subscription, payments and cancelling

Updated September 29, 2026

What you get

Lumen Tool needs a subscription. It unlocks every studio, and new studios and heads are included as they arrive. Monthly and yearly give exactly the same features; yearly is simply cheaper per month.

Paying

The Pricing page shows the current price. Payment runs through Stripe, which confirms the amount, currency and any tax at checkout. A business can enter a VAT or tax ID there.

The email address you use at checkout becomes your Lumen Tool account, so always sign in with that same address. If you change it later at Stripe, your account moves along to the new address.

Invoices, payment details and cancelling

Open Account and choose Manage next to Billing. This opens the Stripe Customer Portal, where you can download invoices, change your card, billing details or email address, and cancel. You can also go there directly via the Stripe Customer Portal.

The subscription renews automatically until you cancel. After cancelling you keep Lumen Tool until the end of the period you already paid for, and then it stops. Nothing more is charged.

Cancelling and deleting your account are two different things. Cancelling stops the payments. Deleting the account removes your account and saved work, but does not stop a running subscription. If you want both, cancel first.

After your subscription ends

Your account and your Archive are kept for 30 more days. Subscribe again within that time and everything is exactly where you left it. After 30 days they are removed for good, and you get an email three days before. Want your own copy? Download a backup before your subscription ends, while you still have access.

If a payment fails

Stripe may retry a failed payment, and Lumen Tool stays available while it does. Updating your card under Billing on the Account page usually solves it. If the subscription ends anyway, access ends with it.

A billing question

For anything about a charge or an invoice, the fastest route is Stripe support at support@stripe.com, since they handle the payments. You can always ask through Contact as well.
