Backup and restore

Back up is at the bottom of the Archive list. It creates a ZIP containing your saved items, previews, setup details, notes, collections and stored photos. Unpack the ZIP and open Archive.html to browse your library without an internet connection.

This offline copy is for viewing, not editing or synchronizing back to Lumen Tool. The online Archive still requires an internet connection and your account.

The photos in the backup are processed copies, not the original camera files. Keep your originals separately. Backups are not encrypted and can contain personal photos and notes, so store them securely.

Restore reads the original ZIP and adds its items as new copies to your Archive. It does not overwrite existing items. Restoring the same backup more than once creates duplicates. The backup only fits inside your 250 MB of Archive space. If it does not fit, you see how much space it needs and how much you have free, and nothing is changed.

Empty Archive deletes every item in your Archive at once, including photos, notes and collections. This cannot be undone, so download a backup first if you want to keep a copy.

Print / Save PDF is different: it produces a reference sheet for one item or a filtered collection, rather than a complete restorable backup. See Finding and organizing saved work.
