Poses and hand controls
The pose cards on the left are starting points. They include Relaxed, Claw, Pointing, Pinch, OK, Grasp, Spread, Fist, Cupped, Holding, Bent wrist, Straight wrist and Palm up. Choose one, then refine it in the Pose panel.
Hand side and position
Right hand and Left hand mirror the model without changing the pose. Vertical stands the arm upright. Lying lays it across the support and keeps the current side facing up. Turn over flips the hand so you can study the opposite face without rebuilding the gesture.
Changing to another pose normally keeps the overall hand position you already chose, so you can compare gestures from the same general orientation. Choosing Vertical or Lying reframes the camera automatically.
Fingers and thumb
Each finger has its own Curl and Spread control. Finger spread moves the fingers apart or together as a group, while the individual spread controls let you fine-tune one finger. The thumb has separate Thumb curl and Thumb spread controls.
Some presets, such as Fist, Pinch, OK and Claw, use pose-specific shaping so they close or meet more naturally than a simple set of curl values.
Wrist, forearm and whole arm
Wrist bend flexes the hand at the wrist. Wrist rotation rotates it across the wrist. Forearm twist rolls the hand through the forearm. Under Whole arm, Tilt, Turn and Roll rotate the complete hand and arm study in three axes.
Moving a finger or wrist control changes the pose without moving the camera. Use Camera and perspective when you want to change what the viewer sees rather than the hand itself.
Reset gesture returns the finger and wrist gesture to the relaxed starting pose while keeping the current overall hand placement.
